<p>(i)    A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Journalism, Communication or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, plus two (2) years professional experience working in an electronic information and communication environment including website design and management;</p>

Roman;"><strong><span style="font-size:11.5pt;">DIRECT</span></strong><span style="font-size:11.5pt;"> the drafting of proposed rules and guides for the conduct of business by enterprises operating within the CSME and <strong>prepare</strong> appropriate explanatory legal memoranda;</span></span><span style="font-size:11.5pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"><strong><span style="font-size:11.5pt;">DEVELOP AND PUBLISH,</span></strong><span style="font-size:11.5pt;"> in collaboration with other relevant senior staff, <p>3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</p>
<p>Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:</p>
<p>(i) A Bachelors Degree in languages and communication or allied professional areas in the Humanities or Social Sciences plus 2 years relevant experience in a similar environment.</p>
<p>(ii) Trained and proficient in:</p>
<p>(a) The English Language;<br />
(b) Information Technology for research, presentation and document preparation;<br />
(c) Secondary and basic field research; and<br />
(d) At least one (1) foreign language relevant to the Community (Dutch, French or Spanish).</p>
<p>(iii) Computer proficiency is mandatory – MS Office Suite and MS Project.</p>
<p>4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<p>Under the direction of the Deputy Programme Manager, Conference Services, the Project Officer, Conference Services, will be required to:</p>
<p>(a) PROVIDE rapporteurial services, including draft reports for Meetings;</p>
<p>(b) TRANSLATE documents into English Language;</p>
<p>(c) CONDUCT secondary research on specific subject matters and prepare supporting technical papers for Secretariat conferences;</p>
<p>(d) ASSIST in preparing lists of documents to be recommended for declassification;</p>
<p>(e) PROVIDE administrative support in coordinating activities required for Secretariat conferences and meetings as requested; and</p>
<p>(f) UNDERTAKE any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Programme Manager, Conference Services.</p>

<p>The Programme Manager will be responsible for:</p>
<p>(a) directing and coordinating activities within the Conference Services Sub-Programme to ensure that the Secretariat delivers efficient and effective conference support at meetings; and</p>
<p>(b) arranging venues and related facilities and support services; ensuring efficient and effective documentation editing, formatting, reproduction and dissemination systems; and overseeing the activities of the interpreters and translators.</p>
<p>The incumbent also has responsibility for the preparation of programme budget of the Sub-Programme.</p>
<p>3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</p>
<p>Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:</p>
<p>(i) a Masters Degree or equivalent in Humanities or Social Sciences plus 8 years relevant experience in a similar environment;</p>
<p>OR</p>
<p>a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Humanities or Social Sciences plus 10 years relevant experience in a similar environment.</p>
<p>(ii) Training and working knowledge in:</p>
<p>(a) A foreign language relevant to the Community;<br />
(b) Interpersonal skills;<br />
(c) Events Management;<br />
(d) Diplomacy and Protocol; and<br />
(e) Logistics.</p>
<p>(iii) Computer proficiency is mandatory – MS Office Suite and MS Project.</p>
<p>4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<p>Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Services, the Programme Manager, Conference Services, will be required to:</p>
<p>(a) PREPARE the Conference Services Work Programme and Budget;</p>
<p>(b) PREPARE AND DISTRIBUTE internally, up-to-date manuals/guidelines for the organisation and management of meetings;</p>
<p>(c) PREPARE AND COORDINATE preparation, reproduction and dissemination of documentation for meetings;</p>
<p>(d) MAKE arrangements for venues, translators and interpreters, rapporteurs, stenographic and reproduction services, protocol, the provision of equipment and supplies required for meetings;</p>
<p>(e) TRAIN personnel for servicing meetings, as necessary;</p>
<p>(f) PUBLISH the calendar of approved meetings on the Secretariat’s website;</p>
<p>(g) PREPARE quarterly reports on the implementation of the Conference services Work Programme;</p>
<p>(h) PREPARE staff performance appraisals and submits reports; and</p>
<p>(i) UNDERTAKE any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Director, Corporate Services.</p>

<p>(i) A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Humanities or Social Sciences, with the capacity to communicate in a foreign language (Spanish, French and Dutch, preferably at university level) plus 5 years relevant experience in a similar environment.</p>
<p>(ii) Competence and performance in the English Language as well as good working knowledge of, and training in:</p>
<p>(a) Information Technology, including videoconferencing;<br />
(b) Systems and Procedures of the CARICOM Secretariat; and<br />
(c) Management Skills.</p>

<p>4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<p>Under the direction of the Programme Manager, Conference Services, the Deputy Programme Manager, Conference Services, will be required to:</p>
<p>(a) VET documents for meetings, ensuring they are properly formatted prior to    dispatch;</p>
<p>(b) CHECK reports of meetings to ensure that they reflect the meetings’ proceedings, are prepared in accordance with the Secretariat’s formats and are dispatched promptly after completion;</p>
<p>(c) SUPERVISE the accurate and timely translation of documents;</p>
<p>(d) ENSURE the timely provision of interpretation services;</p>
<p>(e) ENSURE the provision of conference support services in accordance with requests from the relevant Technical Officers and in keeping with the Secretariat’s standards and procedures;</p>
<p>(f) FORWARD lists of documents proposed for declassification to the relevant Technical Officers for their consideration and subsequent tabling at meetings of the relevant Councils;</p>
<p>(g) ASSIST in the preparation of the Conference Services Draft Annual Work Programme and Budget;</p>
<p>(h) EVALUATE AND SUBMIT reports on the performance of Officers under his/her direct supervision;</p>
<p>(i) OVERSEE the work of Conference Services in the absence of the Programme Manager; and</p>
