Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Classify and approve risk based on authorized limits- Provide support to Financial Advisors in selecting risks and submitting underwriting information
– Consult with the Chief Medical Officer and liaise externally with re-insurance and other insurance companies, doctors and laboratories


-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

– Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

-A strong appreciation for Customer Service

-Strong problem solving and analytical skills

-Good planning and organisational skills

-Team -oriented, self motivated and flexible

-A high level of professionalism with the ability to receive and handle confidentail and sensitive information.

Qualifications and Experience

– Five C.X.C subjects/passes including English Language and Mathematics

– Passes in Loma’s UND386 and ALU Level 1

– FLMI Designation

-At least 3-5 years working experience in an Underwriting Department

– Experience in Personal Accident and Disability Income Underwriting would be an asset.
