Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Deputy Financial Secretary within the Public Service Establishment Division of this Ministry.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Financial Secretary, the incumbent is responsible for providing advice, guidance and procedural interpretation to all stakeholders while representing the interests of the Government of Jamaica on human resource policies relating to terms and conditions of service for public sector employees, compensation, benefits administration, industrial & employee relations, employment and pension administration in the public sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies geared towards the development of a rational, comprehensive and achievable compensation philosophy for the Jamaican Public Sector that satisfies the future Human Resource needs of the Public Sector.
• Oversees the development of rationalized pension legislation framework and expeditious pension administration system.
• Leads the development and implementation of policies and strategies that promotes, fosters and maintains harmonious industrial relations within the public sector and key stakeholders.
• Directs the formulation and the adoption of policies and innovative strategies that public sector employment costs are factored in fiscal parameters.
• Ensures the effective, efficient and provision of client services to internal and external customers of the division.
• Leads and manages the Division in the achievement of its strategic objectives.
