Director of Human Resources, Grenada

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Oversees the effective implementation of human resource policies, programmes and practices
• Work with Human Resources Committee of the Authority to develop strategic work plans and policies for the body
• Create strategic recruitment and selection plans for the Authority
• Develops and implements compensation strategies and structures that align with the Authority’s goals and complies with applicable policies, local laws and regulations
• Oversees training initiatives to address current capabilities and future training needs of staff
• Leads the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of the performance management system
• Directs a process of organizational development that addresses issues such as succession planning, human resource development, key employee retention, work flow efficiency and change management
• Formulates and recommends human resources policies and objectives for the Authority that will conduce to a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
• Coordinates the administration, negotiation and implementation of all contracts with employee representatives

Qualifications & Experience Required
o Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Management Studies (with HR component) or equivalent qualification
o Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working in a Human Resource Management Department (preferably in a public sector organization)

FUNCTIONAL
• Sound knowledge of Human Resource, principles practices, and procedures
• Sound knowledge of Human Resource Information Management (including HR Management systems and HR Records Management)
• Sound knowledge of the provisions of applicable legislation and regulations governing Human Resource Management, (including the Staff Orders for the Public Service, the Public Service Regulations and the Pensions Act, etc.)

Human Resources Department Supervisor, Puerto Rico

The Human Resources Department Supervisor will report directly to the Store Manager and work closely with the store team on all HR functions and responsibilities. The primary day to day purpose and focus of this position is largely dictated by season and on the immediate needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

Staffing
· Work with the Store Manager and Assistant Managers to develop hiring strategy to ensure staffing levels are maintained and to minimize hourly turnover
· Source, screen and interview applicants using the competency based interview guidelines found in hiring guide and through the group interview process
· Review and maintain Applicant tracking system
· Regularly schedule external recruiting in various selling oriented organizations to attract top talent
· Maintain store staffing to numbers required by store staffing model

Development:
· Conduct on-board orientation of new Team Members. Ensure use, execution, maintenance and administration of the on-boarding process through the learning management system.
· Lead the training and development of all Team Members to ensure compliance to the company’s service/product knowledge and selling skills training standards
· Deliver and follow-up on various product knowledge learning initiatives rolled out throughout the year
· Responsible for the tracking of all required training through the R Learning System.
