Senior .NET Software Developer, Bermuda

As a member of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, support and documentation of complex client/server and web applications. You will also work with our client’s business leaders and analysts to define and document detailed requirements. You will also be expected to demonstrate the use of industry best practices and procedures in the complete solution development life cycle. You will need to manage your own time and manage client expectations.

Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years experience and work-related .NET development in C#
• Experience in using WCF, WPF, ASP.NET (preferably MVC), ADO.NET
• Experience developing solutions in the insurance or financial industries. (Direct experience in software development at a bank, hedge fund, financial investment, insurance or reinsurance company)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 database development and administration
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Very strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to organise work priorities and effective time management skills are essential
• Ability to make decisions and quickly resolve problems in a fast-paced environment while ensuring appropriate risk management and proper escalation / notification procedures are carried out
• Team player with exceptional customer service skills

The candidate must:
• Be a qualified and experienced teacher who has demonstrated successful teaching in Elementary, Middle and/or High School.
• Be a qualified and experienced teacher who has demonstrated successful teaching in area of discipline.
• Hold at least a Bachelor degree and Bachelor of Education degree in area of discipline.
• Have experience in the delivery of the respective subject in a differentiated classroom.
• Be willing to coach or moderate an extracurricular activity at the direction of the Principal.
• Be required to perform homeroom duties with record keeping responsibilities, supervisory duties, and substitutions as required by the Principal.
• Be registered or qualified to be registered with the Bermuda Educators’ Council.
