Director of Engineering, Aruba

Directly reports to the property General Manager, with a dotted-line (functional) reporting relationship to the Regional Director of Engineering and is an integral member of the property Executive Committee. Provides a high level of property maintenance knowledge. Position has overall responsibility for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Develops and implements strategies that will deliver products and services, which meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and associates while maximizing the financial performance. Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues.

Consultant, Caribbean

 Project to conduct an audit of the supply capacity and, demand for Cement in the Region

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat is desirous of procuring the services of eligible consultant(s) to undertake execution of a project to conduct an audit of the supply capacity and demand for cement in the Region.

Objective of Consultancy:
The object of the consultancy is to verify the actual and potential capacity of the production, supply and demand for cement in the Region.

Duration:
The expected duration of the Consultancy is approximately forty-five (45) person-days over a period of ninety (90) days.

Qualifications and Experience:
The following is the minimum technical expertise required to conduct the assignment:

• A university degree in industrial engineering or closely related field. A university degree in business or economics;
• A minimum of five years relevant professional experience in an industrial engineering or related field and, in the field of business or economics;
• Knowledge of CARICOM trade issues and proven experience in conducting investigative and verification procedures in the area of production;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch would be an asset.

Food & Beverage Manager, Caribbean

 As the Food & Beverage Manager you will assume full responsibility for the department whilst reporting straight into the General Manager. Your main focus in the initial stage will be to set up service procedures to five star levels along with identifying suppliers so that the opening gets off to an exceptional start. With this in mind, experience of the Caribbean will be looked upon favourably along with new opening experience of a five star resort property. Excellent knowledge of food & beverage concepts is also a must, as you will have direct involvement in concept work.
