Financial Controller, Haiti

The main purpose of this position is to oversee all financial operations for GOAL Haiti. GOAL’s ultimate aim is to build the capacity of national staff, minimising expatriate input where possible and promoting self-reliance in the communities in which it operates.

Key Duties:
1. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports to GOAL Dublin comprising the Sage data set, Donor Status Reports, supporting schedules and other reports as required.
2. Be familiar with and ensure that donor guidelines are followed at all times.
3. Ensure timely submission of donor reports, government reports and other reports to GOAL Dublin and/or the relevant authorities.

Direct Support

• Significant practical expertise in policy planning and implementation
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior country counterparts and representatives
• Experience working with bi-lateral, multi-lateral, and private sector clients preferred
• Excellent communication and writing ability
• Experience working in or with government ministries in developing countries, particularly the Ministries of Health and Finance; preference for specific experience with Haitian ministries
• Experience working in developing countries, especially post-conflict and/or post-disaster settings.
