The Registered Nurse will report to the Nurse in charge of the Ward or Senior Nurse at the District Health Facility or Health Centre. He/she is responsible for working along with the Nurse in Charge to perform midwifery activities. Work involves administering medicines, assisting at operations and other similar duties in the care and treatment of patients; some supervision is exercised over sub-professional staff such as student’s nurses, nurse’s aides or other workers engaged in the care and treatment of patients. Duties are performed in accordance with established rules and regulations, standard practices of the profession and in accordance with detailed instruction from a professional superior, who reviews work for the maintenance of standards and adherence to instructions.

The incumbent will report to the Specialist Medical Officer in the department and will be responsible for administering medical treatment to patients at the Hospital in the specialist field of study.
