Senior Associate – Asset Management, Bermuda

You will work closely with experienced Managers, Directors and Partners on client audits. Using a controls-based audit approach, you will be involved in a broad variety of audit engagements from the planning phase through to execution and completion. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating financial statements misstatements and potential deficiencies in internal controls. Your wide variety of experiences will result in you gaining valuable management skills early in your career. In addition your responsibilities will include:
• Coaching, advising and directing team members
• Monitoring engagement economics
• Updating existing knowledge of the asset management industry through research and attendance at specific industry training courses
• Leading an audit team. Assisting in setting the audit approach to the engagement which makes effective use of team members’ skills
• Liaising with clients to obtain relevant information in order to resolve any queries and to identify issues requiring further clarification
• Identifying the key business and audit risks of a client and investigation of audit issues to arrive at a solution or a proposal

Senior Corporate Analyst, Bermuda

Major responsibilities
• Developing monthly management reports for submission to local management, regional finance teams and HSBC Group Finance. Providing support to businesses and functions for their separate Group reporting and ensuring consistency with Group reports
• Managing month-end transfer of data into the reporting systems, ensuring data integrity across databases and applications, reviewing processes and identifying potential efficiencies, and assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new systems as they relate to management reporting
• Maintaining and assisting with developing revenue and expense attribution for customer group and product reporting
• Assisting with coordination and compilation of rolling operating plans and latest estimates.
