Main responsibilities include:

v Leads, directs and participates in long-term strategic human resource planning of the Ministry and its Departments.

v Designs and implements human resources strategies and initiatives that is responsive to the needs of the Ministry.

v Chief advisor to the Financial Secretary on human resources matters.

v Conducts investigations and makes recommendations as appropriate regarding issues of staff disputes, grievances and misconduct.

v Prepares the Annual Report for the HR Unit and a variety of correspondence.

v Overseas the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. Provides advice and counsel to Departments regarding the proper application of employment policies and procedures.

v Conducts residual chlorine test on all chlorinated drinking water supplies

v Carries out treatment of contaminated drinking water supplies.

v Investigates public health nuisance complaints and seeks enforcement of relevant Public Health Regulations.

v Maintains record, investigates reported cases of water borne illness, generates quarterly and special reports.

v Advises and educates the general public on issues related to water quality monitoring and institutional hygiene.
