The Government of the Virgin Islands invites qualified and professional applicants to apply for the post of Human Resources Manager, Ministry of Finance.
Main responsibilities include:
v Leads, directs and participates in long-term strategic human resource planning of the Ministry and its Departments.
v Designs and implements human resources strategies and initiatives that is responsive to the needs of the Ministry.
v Chief advisor to the Financial Secretary on human resources matters.
v Conducts investigations and makes recommendations as appropriate regarding issues of staff disputes, grievances and misconduct.
v Researches and identifies training programmes. Liaises with the Training Division and other agencies on courses as necessary.
v Supervises and participates in recruitment activities, conducting high-level recruitment as assigned.
v Develops, evaluates, and validates interview and selection instruments as well as appropriate examination methods.
v Prepares the Annual Report for the HR Unit and a variety of correspondence.
v Overseas the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. Provides advice and counsel to Departments regarding the proper application of employment policies and procedures.
